Here we propose the concept of “Automatic Paper Cutting Machine Using Geneva Mechanism”. The system is based on the “Geneva Mechanism”, a mechanism that translates a continuous rotational movement into intermittent rotary motion. This mechanism is used here in Automatic Paper Cutting Machine, where an Internal Geneva drive, helps to run the whole system.
Along with this mechanism the system also consists a “Programmable Logic Controller” or commonly known as “PLC”. The PLC being the industrial grade digital computer provide us the full operational control over the system with the help of programming, also it makes the system fully automated. These two components make the Automatic Paper Cutting Machine efficient in it’s task and reliable very up to the mark. For demonstration purpose, above machine is designed to cut a group of 5 cut outs in a single command, but the PLC programing and Geneva Mechanism can be modified in order to fit any industrial usage or for any other desired application and output.
