There are different types of grass cutters available in the market. This robotic vehicle is provided with a grass cutter blade that permits for grass cutting at high RPM. The lawn mower system has smart functionality that enables it to hide the whole area of a garden by detecting corners using an ultrasonic sensor and follows a zigzag manner to cover the entire area. This efficient system uses a microcontroller-based circuit to achieve this functionality. It is a battery-operated system that uses two batteries. One battery is used to run the DC motors for vehicle movement and also the other one is used to power the grass cutter motor. To demonstrate the charging of vehicle movement battery it uses a solar panel. The microcontroller operates the DC motors for vehicle movement also because of the grass cutter at a similar time as monitoring the ultrasonic sensors. The microcontroller smartly operates the DC motors using the motor driver IC to achieve the desired movement based on ultrasonic inputs. The system also uses a gyro sensor to achieve a perfect 180 degree turns in order to achieve complete garden coverage. Using a gyroscope, we can also detect whether the robot has been picked up, and when it is picked up it sends the coordinates of the robots to its admin number using the GSM module thus preventing theft.
